Indications
Indoxyl Gel is indicated for the treatment of acne vulgaris, which is a chronic inflammatory skin disease. This medication combines two active agents, clindamycin and benzoyl peroxide, which act synergistically to reduce the number of acne lesions. Clindamycin is an antibiotic that inhibits the growth of bacteria that can worsen acne, while benzoyl peroxide has antimicrobial and comedolytic properties, helping to unclog pores and reduce inflammation. Indicated for patients aged 12 and over, this gel can be used on acne-affected areas, providing a visible improvement in skin appearance by reducing both inflammatory and non-inflammatory lesions.
Composition
Each 100 g of Indoxyl Gel contains: 5 g of clindamycin (as hydrochloride) and 1 g of benzoyl peroxide.
Contraindications
Indoxyl Gel is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Likewise, its use is not recommended in people with a history of ulcerative colitis or inflammatory bowel disease, as the use of antibiotics can worsen these conditions.
Precautions
Excessive sun exposure and the use of irritating skin products should be avoided during treatment with Indoxyl Gel. It is important for the patient to inform their doctor about any adverse reactions or skin irritation they experience. During the use of the gel, contact with eyes and mucous membranes should be avoided. Its use is not recommended on damaged skin areas or open wounds.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C. Keep the product in its original packaging and out of reach of children.
