Indications
Indacil (Clindamycin) is indicated for the treatment of severe bacterial infections, as well as skin and soft tissue infections, such as abscesses, cellulitis, and folliculitis. It is also used in the treatment of dental infections and in cases of osteomyelitis. Clindamycin has a spectrum of activity that includes gram-positive bacteria, such as staphylococci and streptococci, as well as some anaerobic microorganisms. Its use is particularly relevant in patients allergic to penicillin, where it can be considered an effective therapeutic alternative.
Composition
Each Indacil capsule contains 300 mg of clindamycin in the form of clindamycin hydrochloride. Excipients: magnesium stearate, gelatin, titanium dioxide, among others.
Contraindications
Indacil is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to clindamycin, lincomycin, or any of the product's excipients. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of antibiotic-associated colitis, as the use of clindamycin can worsen this condition.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with pre-existing gastrointestinal diseases, as well as those with liver or kidney disorders. During treatment, it is recommended to monitor for the appearance of severe diarrhea, as it may be indicative of pseudomembranous colitis. The use of Indacil in combination with other antibiotics is not recommended without medical supervision, as this may alter the effectiveness of the treatment.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
