Indications

Idaptan MR is indicated for the treatment of chronic stable angina pectoris. This medication works by improving myocardial metabolism, which allows for better adaptation of the heart to ischemic situations. Trimetazidine is especially useful in patients with exertional angina, helping to reduce the frequency and intensity of anginal episodes. It has also been used in the management of certain vestibular disorders, where it contributes to improving cerebral perfusion and vestibular function.

Composition

Each Idaptan MR tablet contains 35 mg of trimetazidine, in addition to excipients such as lactose, starch, and other components that contribute to the tablet's formulation.

Contraindications

Idaptan MR is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to trimetazidine or any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with Parkinson's disease, as it may worsen symptoms. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe renal insufficiency.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with moderate or mild kidney disease, as trimetazidine is primarily eliminated renally. Regular medical monitoring is important in these patients to adjust the dose if necessary. Likewise, it is recommended to evaluate the risk-benefit ratio in patients with a history of cardiac rhythm disorders.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep in a dry place and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
