Indications
Histofil is indicated for the prevention and treatment of vitamin D deficiency in individuals at risk of hypovitaminosis D. It is especially useful in cases of osteoporosis, metabolic bone diseases, and in patients with intestinal malabsorption. It is also recommended in situations of reduced sun exposure, such as in elderly people, individuals living in areas with low sunlight, or those who regularly use sunscreens. Cholecalciferol contributes to the proper absorption of calcium and phosphorus, essential elements for maintaining bone and dental health.
Composition
Each Histofil tablet contains 4000 IU of cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) and excipients necessary for the product's formulation.
Contraindications
Histofil is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cholecalciferol or any of the excipients in the formula. It should also be avoided in cases of hypercalcemia or hypercalciuria, as well as in diseases that predispose to hyperphosphatemia.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with kidney disease, as they may have an increased risk of developing hypercalcemia. Likewise, it is important to monitor calcium levels in patients receiving concomitant treatment with other calcium supplements or who have diseases that alter calcium metabolism.

The product should be stored in a cool, dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
