Indications
Hiperton 10% is a hypertonic solution indicated for the treatment of various clinical conditions that require adequate management of sodium and fluid levels in the body. It is particularly useful in patients with hyponatremia, with the aim of restoring normal blood sodium levels and correcting plasma osmolarity. It is also used in situations of severe dehydration and in the management of patients with edema, where adequate fluid balance is necessary. Its use is recommended under strict medical supervision, especially in hospital settings where patient parameters can be continuously monitored.
Composition
Each milliliter of Hiperton contains 100 mg of sodium chloride in sterile solution, in addition to excipients that guarantee the stability and safety of the product.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypernatremia, severe renal insufficiency, pulmonary edema, and in those with known sensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Furthermore, it should not be administered in situations where strict control of sodium intake is required.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Hiperton in patients with heart disease, high blood pressure, and kidney disorders. Constant monitoring of sodium levels and renal function during treatment is important. The use of this medication in pediatric patients should be carefully evaluated due to their increased susceptibility to electrolyte imbalances.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, away from direct light and out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
