Indications
Himanix is indicated for the treatment of certain autoimmune diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus. It is also used for the prophylaxis and treatment of malaria, as well as in the treatment of COVID-19 infections, within the context of approved protocols. Hydroxychloroquine acts as an antimalarial and an immunomodulator, meaning it can help reduce inflammation and the body's immune response in specific conditions.
Composition
Each Himanix tablet contains 200 mg of hydroxychloroquine as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients that contribute to the product's formulation, ensuring its stability and efficacy.
Contraindications
Himanix is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to hydroxychloroquine or to any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used in patients with antimalarial drug-induced retinopathy, or in those with severe hepatic or renal dysfunction. Its use should be carefully evaluated in patients with a history of cardiac disorders.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of eye problems, as prolonged use of hydroxychloroquine can cause adverse effects on the retina. Regular ophthalmological examinations are important to monitor visual health during treatment. Additionally, care should be taken in patients with central nervous system diseases, as the medication may exacerbate certain symptoms.
Storage
Store the product in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep the medicine out of the reach of children. Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
