Indications

Hi-Buminfco 20% is indicated for intravascular volume expansion in situations where an increase in oncotic pressure is required, as well as in the treatment of hypoproteinemia, nephrotic syndrome, extensive burns, massive surgeries, and acute hypovolemia secondary to hemorrhage or fluid loss. It is also used in patients with liver diseases and in sepsis, where albumin administration can improve hemodynamic status and tissue perfusion.

Composition

Each ampoule of Hi-Buminfco 20% contains 20 g of human albumin in 100 ml of saline solution, and is sterile and preservative-free.

Contraindications

Hi-Buminfco 20% is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to human albumin or any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in severe dehydration, uncontrolled congestive heart failure, and in cases of active hemorrhage where albumin would not be effective.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of allergic reactions, in those with renal or cardiac insufficiency, and in situations where there may be a risk of volume overload. Electrolyte levels and renal function should be monitored during treatment.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
