Indications

Hi-Bumin is indicated for the treatment of patients with hypoalbuminemia, as well as in clinical situations where expansion of intravascular volume is required. Specific indications include: correction of hypoproteinemia in liver diseases, nephrotic syndromes, and in situations of protein loss such as severe burns or major surgery. This product is also used in protein replacement therapy for patients with disorders that cause a decrease in albumin synthesis in the liver.

Composition

Each Hi-Bumin ampoule contains: 25% human albumin in solution, which is obtained from human plasma. Albumin is an essential plasma protein that plays important functions in regulating intravascular volume, transporting hormones, and maintaining oncotic pressure.

Contraindications

Hi-Bumin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to albumin or any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered in situations of congestive heart failure or in cases of active hemorrhage, as well as in patients with severe dehydration.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of allergic reactions to plasma-derived products. It is important to monitor patients during infusion for any adverse reactions. In case of pulmonary edema, a reduction in the infusion rate should be considered.

Storage

Store at temperatures between 2 and 8 degrees Celsius. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children. It must be used before the expiration date indicated on the package.
