Indications
Ginorelle 20 is indicated for the prevention of pregnancy in women of childbearing age. It can also be used for the treatment of premenstrual syndrome and the regulation of the menstrual cycle. The combination of drospirenone and ethinylestradiol helps inhibit ovulation and modify cervical mucus, which makes it difficult for sperm to reach the egg. In addition, it can help reduce symptoms associated with menstruation, such as pain and dysmenorrhea.
Composition
Each Ginorelle 20 tablet contains:
- Drospirenone: 3 mg
- Ethinylestradiol: 20 mcg
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in women with a history of venous or arterial thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, myocardial infarction, breast cancer, endometrial cancer, severe liver diseases, or in case of hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in women who smoke and are over 35 years old, as well as in those who experience migraine with aura.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in women with a history of hypertension, diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemias, or in those at risk of developing thrombosis. Regular medical check-ups are important to evaluate the tolerance and efficacy of the treatment. In addition, interaction with other medications should be considered, so it is advisable to inform your doctor about any additional medication you are using.
