Indications

Gelcupro (Isotretinoin) is indicated for the treatment of severe nodular acne that has not responded to other treatments, as well as in cases of cystic acne or acne that causes scarring. It is also used in the treatment of seborrheic keratosis and other dermatological conditions resistant to conventional treatments. Isotretinoin works by reducing sebum production in the sebaceous glands, which helps decrease pore obstruction and bacterial proliferation on the skin.

Composition

Each capsule contains: Isotretinoin 10 mg, excipients necessary for the formulation.

Contraindications

Gelcupro is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to isotretinoin or any of the formula's components. It should not be administered to patients with liver diseases, hyperlipidemia, or pregnant or breastfeeding women due to its teratogenic potential.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering Gelcupro to patients with a history of psychiatric disorders, as it may increase the risk of depression and suicidal thoughts. Regular monitoring of blood lipid levels and liver function tests is necessary during treatment. It is recommended to avoid sun exposure and the use of irritating skin products during treatment.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
