Indications

Flucogrel is a medication indicated for the prevention of cardiovascular events in patients who are at high risk of developing ischemic complications, such as myocardial infarction, stroke, or cardiovascular death. It is used in patients who have experienced acute coronary syndrome, as well as in those who have undergone revascularization procedures such as angioplasty. It can also be used in patients with peripheral arterial disease to reduce the risk of vascular events. Its action is based on the inhibition of platelet aggregation, which helps improve blood circulation in high-risk conditions.

Composition

Each Flucogrel tablet contains 75 mg of clopidogrel as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption. Excipients may include lactose, starch, microcrystalline cellulose, and other inert components that do not affect the activity of the active ingredient.

Contraindications

Flucogrel is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to clopidogrel or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be administered to patients with active bleeding disorders, such as peptic ulcer or intracranial hemorrhage. It is also contraindicated in pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as in patients with severe hepatic impairment.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of bleeding, bleeding disorders, or those who are receiving concomitant treatments that increase the risk of bleeding. Regular medical monitoring is important for patients initiating Flucogrel treatment, especially in those with cardiovascular risk factors.

Storage

Flucogrel should be stored at room temperature, in a dry place and away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use the medication after the expiration date indicated on the package.
