Indications
Floratil is indicated for the treatment and prevention of acute diarrhea, especially that of infectious origin. It is useful in restoring intestinal flora and reducing adverse effects associated with antibiotic therapy. In addition, it can be used as a supplement in the management of gastrointestinal disorders related to antibiotic use and in the prevention of diarrhea in immunocompromised patients or those with alterations in the intestinal microbiota.
Composition
Each Floratil sachet contains 250 mg of Saccharomyces Boulardii as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and preservation.
Contraindications
Floratil is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Saccharomyces Boulardii or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe immunosuppression, in those with intravascular catheters, or in those with systemic fungal infections.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with severe underlying diseases or those receiving immunosuppressive treatments. It is advisable to consult a doctor if symptoms persist or worsen, as well as in cases of high fever or blood in the stools. It is suggested not to use in cases of persistent diarrhea without medical evaluation.
Storage
Floratil should be stored at room temperature, in a dry and cool place, protected from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
