Indications
Flonorm 200 mg is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal infections caused by bacteria susceptible to rifaximin. It is primarily used in the treatment of traveler's diarrhea, as well as in the management of hepatic encephalopathy, helping to reduce the bacterial load in the intestine. It has also been used in the treatment of bacterial overgrowth infections in patients with irritable bowel syndrome, improving related symptoms. It is important to follow medical instructions to ensure treatment efficacy and prevent bacterial resistance.
Composition
Each tablet contains: Rifaximin 200 mg.
Contraindications
Flonorm is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to rifaximin or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with bloody diarrhea or high fever, as these may be indicative of more serious infections requiring different treatment.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with renal or hepatic insufficiency. It is important to inform the doctor about any other medical conditions or medications the patient is taking to avoid interactions. During treatment, if symptoms worsen or do not improve after several days of treatment, a doctor should be consulted.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
