Indications
Fiurox is indicated for the treatment of various conditions related to gastrointestinal disorders, such as abdominal spasms, irritable bowel syndrome, and dysmenorrhea. Hyoscine acts as an antispasmodic, providing relief by relaxing the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal and urinary tracts. This medication can be useful in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures that require a decrease in muscle tone in these areas. Additionally, it can be used to treat symptoms associated with Parkinson's disease, such as increased salivation and other extrapyramidal symptoms.
Composition
Each Fiurox ampoule contains 20 mg of hyoscine (hyoscine butylbromide) in 1 ml of injectable solution.
Contraindications
Fiurox is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to hyoscine or any of the components of the formula. It should also be avoided in patients with angle-closure glaucoma, myasthenia gravis, intestinal or urinary obstruction, as well as in those with ulcerative colitis or megacolon. Its use during pregnancy and lactation should be carefully evaluated, considering the risks and benefits.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, renal or hepatic insufficiency. Furthermore, its use in combination with other anticholinergics should be avoided, as it may increase the risk of adverse effects. Appropriate monitoring is important in elderly patients, who may be more susceptible to the side effects of the medication.
Storage
Fiurox should be stored in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of the reach of children. The recommended storage temperature is between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Do not use the product after the expiration date indicated on the packaging.
