Indications
Firsito (Escitalopram) is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorders and generalized anxiety disorders. Its use can be beneficial in patients experiencing symptoms such as persistent sadness, loss of interest or pleasure in daily activities, excessive anxiety, and uncontrollable worry. This medication works by increasing serotonin levels in the brain, which helps improve mood and emotional regulation. It is essential that treatment be supervised by a doctor, who will evaluate the clinical response and adjust the dose as needed.
Composition
Each Firsito tablet contains 5 mg of escitalopram as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate the formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
Firsito is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to escitalopram or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be administered in combination with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or in patients with QT prolongation syndrome. Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of manic disorders or seizures.
Precautions
It is recommended that patients with a history of liver or kidney disease, as well as those with a history of cardiovascular problems, be carefully monitored during treatment with Firsito. Caution should also be exercised when using this medication in patients over 65 years of age or those taking other medications that may interact with escitalopram.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
