Indications
Festomar is indicated for the treatment of allergy symptoms, including allergic rhinitis and urticaria. Additionally, it is used to relieve symptoms of occasional insomnia, helping to improve sleep quality. Doxylamine acts as an antihistamine that blocks the effects of histamine in the body, thereby reducing allergy symptoms. On the other hand, pyridoxine, or vitamin B6, is essential for protein metabolism and can contribute to sleep regulation.
Composition
Each capsule contains: Doxylamine 10 mg and Pyridoxine 10 mg.
Contraindications
Festomar is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to doxylamine, pyridoxine, or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be used in patients with closed-angle glaucoma, urinary retention, or severe respiratory diseases.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with liver or kidney disease, as well as in those taking other medications that may cause sedation. Do not drive or perform activities requiring mental alertness after taking this medication.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
