Indications
Ferricol-Saf Suspension is indicated for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia in patients requiring iron supplementation. It is especially useful in situations where iron absorption is compromised, such as in cases of intestinal malabsorption, inadequate diets, or in situations of increased iron demand, such as pregnancy, lactation, or accelerated growth. This suspension can be used in patients who experience intolerance to other iron supplements, due to its formulation based on chelated iron, which promotes better gastrointestinal tolerance and greater bioavailability of the mineral.
Composition
Each 5 ml of Ferricol-Saf Suspension contains: Chelated Iron 3000 mg, excipients q.s.p. 5 ml.
Contraindications
This product is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to iron or to any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in patients with non-iron deficiency anemia or in those with iron overload.
Precautions
It is recommended to monitor serum iron and hemoglobin levels during treatment. It is important to use this medication under medical supervision, especially in patients with liver or kidney diseases or those receiving blood transfusions. The recommended dose should not be exceeded, as excess iron can be toxic.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
