Indications
Ferranina solution is indicated for the treatment of iron deficiency in adults and children, as well as for the prevention of iron deficiency anemia. It is particularly useful in patients with conditions that increase the need for iron, such as pregnancy, lactation, heavy menstrual periods, or chronic diseases that may affect nutrient absorption. The polymaltose iron formulation allows for better gastrointestinal tolerance compared to other iron supplements, minimizing common adverse effects such as constipation.
Composition
Each 100 mL of Ferranina solution contains: Polymaltose Iron 1 g, along with necessary excipients for the formulation.
Contraindications
Ferranina is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to polymaltose iron or any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered in cases of hemochromatosis, hemosiderosis, or any other condition involving iron overload. It is recommended not to use this product in patients with severe gastrointestinal disorders or in those with non-iron deficiency anemia.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, as well as in those who are being treated with medications that may interfere with iron absorption. It is important to monitor iron levels in patients receiving prolonged treatment. Likewise, simultaneous administration with antacids or medications containing calcium, magnesium, or aluminum should be avoided, as they may decrease iron absorption.
Storage
It is recommended to store Ferranina in a cool, dry place, protected from direct light and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.

- FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
