Indications

Ferranina is indicated for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia in patients requiring additional iron intake, including infants, children, adolescents, pregnant and breastfeeding women. Polymaltose iron allows for better gastrointestinal tolerance and a lower incidence of adverse effects compared to other forms of iron. It is especially useful in situations of increased iron demand, such as during childhood growth, pregnancy, and lactation.

Composition

Each 1 ml of Ferranina contains:

  • Polymaltose Iron 5 mg
  • Excipients: purified water, citric acid, among others.

Contraindications

Ferranina is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to polymaltose iron or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be administered in cases of hemochromatosis, hemosiderosis, or any other condition involving iron overload in the body.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering Ferranina to patients with active gastrointestinal diseases, such as ulcers or colitis. Likewise, regular monitoring of blood iron levels is recommended during treatment. Iron administration can interfere with the absorption of certain medications, so a doctor should be consulted before combining treatments.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
  4. Orders received after 2:00 PM will be shipped the next day.
