Indications
Femisan is a cream formulated with ketoconazole and clindamycin, indicated for the treatment of skin infections caused by fungi and bacteria. It is effective in managing conditions such as seborrheic dermatitis, ringworm, and folliculitis, as well as infections caused by organisms susceptible to the active components. The combination of ketoconazole, an antifungal, and clindamycin, an antibiotic, allows for addressing both fungal and bacterial flora, providing a comprehensive therapeutic approach.
Composition
Each 100g of cream contains:
- Ketoconazole: 400 mg
- Clindamycin: 100 mg
- Excipients: q.s. (quantity sufficient to complete the product)
Contraindications
Femisan is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended on areas of skin with severe lesions or burns. Furthermore, its use in pregnant or breastfeeding women should be carefully evaluated by a physician.
Precautions
Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. In case of irritation or allergic reaction, discontinue use of the product and consult a physician. It is important to follow the healthcare professional's instructions regarding the frequency and duration of treatment to prevent the development of antimicrobial resistance.
