Indications
Exel 15 mg is indicated for the treatment of rheumatic diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It is also used in the management of acute pain, as well as in the treatment of postoperative painful conditions and traumatic injuries. This medication acts as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that helps reduce inflammation, pain, and fever.
Composition
Each Exel capsule contains 15 mg of meloxicam as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that allow for the proper formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
Exel is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to meloxicam or any component of the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to other NSAIDs, as well as in those with active peptic ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding. Its use should be avoided in patients with severe renal insufficiency and in those in the third trimester of pregnancy.
Precautions
It is important to use Exel with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, high blood pressure, heart failure, or kidney disease. Regular monitoring of renal and hepatic function should be performed during treatment. In case of adverse reactions, the use of the medication should be suspended and a doctor consulted. Concomitant use with other NSAIDs or anticoagulants is not recommended without medical supervision.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of reach of children. The storage temperature should not exceed 30°C.
