Indications

Etacortilen is indicated for the treatment of various medical conditions requiring an anti-inflammatory and/or immunosuppressive effect. Among the most common indications are:

  • Autoimmune diseases, such as systemic lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis.
  • Severe allergic disorders.
  • Inflammatory diseases, such as osteoarthritis and ulcerative colitis.
  • Treatment of respiratory conditions, including asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
  • Symptom control in certain types of cancer.

Composition

Each ml of Etacortilen contains 1.14 mg of Dexamethasone. Excipients: purified water, sodium chloride, and other inactive excipients.

Contraindications

Etacortilen is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Dexamethasone or any of the components of the formula. It should also be avoided in uncontrolled systemic infections and in patients with certain diseases such as ocular herpes simplex, systemic fungal infections, and uncontrolled peptic ulcers.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with diabetes mellitus, hypertension, psychiatric disorders, and in those undergoing treatment for infections. Regular monitoring is recommended during prolonged treatment.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C. Protect from light and keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
