Indications

Erbitrax-T is indicated for the treatment of fungal infections of the skin and nails, such as onychomycosis (nail infection) and tinea (skin infection). Terbinafine acts by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane, which results in the destruction of fungal cells. This medication is effective against various dermatophyte fungi, as well as yeasts like Candida. Its use is recommended under the supervision of a doctor to ensure appropriate and effective treatment of the infection.

Composition

Each Erbitrax-T tablet contains 250 mg of terbinafine as the active ingredient. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, starch, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to terbinafine or any of the formula's components. Its use is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation, as well as in patients with severe liver or kidney diseases.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease, as terbinafine is metabolized in the liver. It is important to monitor liver function during treatment. Additionally, any unusual symptoms or adverse effects should be reported to the treating physician.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
