Indications
Erbitrax Cream is indicated for the treatment of skin infections caused by fungi, such as dermatophytes and yeasts. It is effective in the management of conditions such as tinea corporis, tinea pedis, tinea cruris, cutaneous candidiasis, and other superficial mycoses. Terbinafine, its active ingredient, works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane, which leads to cell death and, consequently, to the resolution of the infection. It is recommended to apply a thin layer to the affected area once or twice a day, depending on the severity of the infection and medical recommendation.
Composition
Each 100 grams of Erbitrax Cream contains 1 gram of terbinafine as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate the formulation and application of the product.
Contraindications
Erbitrax Cream is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to terbinafine or to any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended on areas of skin with open wounds or on mucous membranes.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Erbitrax Cream in patients with a history of allergic reactions to antifungals. Do not apply to the eyes or to areas of skin that show severe irritation. If adverse reactions occur, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
