Indications

Endocodil is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe pain in patients requiring potent analgesic management. It is used in clinical situations where non-opioid analgesics or adjuvant analgesics are insufficient. This medication may be considered for postoperative patients, as well as in oncological conditions and in the management of chronic pain in various pathologies. Oxycodone administration must be carefully monitored, and the dosage should be adjusted according to the patient's response and the severity of the pain.

Composition

Each ampoule contains 10 mg of oxycodone as an active ingredient, as well as excipients that allow its proper formulation for intravenous administration.

Contraindications

Endocodil is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to oxycodone or any of the excipients. It should not be administered in cases of severe respiratory depression, uncontrolled bronchial asthma, or in patients with a history of substance abuse due to its addictive potential. It is also contraindicated in patients with paralytic ileus or intestinal obstruction.

Precautions

Special care should be taken in patients with obstructive pulmonary diseases, renal or hepatic insufficiency, and in those receiving other central nervous system depressants. The use of Endocodil requires close monitoring to prevent adverse effects, as well as the consideration of lower initial doses in vulnerable populations, including the elderly and patients with significant comorbidities.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the label.
