Indications
Emla Cream is indicated for local anesthesia in dermatological procedures, including skin punctures, catheter insertion, and other procedures requiring suppression of sensation in the application area. It is also used for anesthesia before injections and for skin preparation before certain minor surgical interventions. The cream can be used in adults and children over 3 months of age, being especially useful in procedures that may cause discomfort or pain.
Composition
Emla Cream contains in each 100 g: Lidocaine 25 g and Prilocaine 25 g, in addition to excipients such as purified water, semi-solid glycerides and other components that facilitate its application and absorption.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to lidocaine, prilocaine or any other component of the formula. It should not be used on irritated skin areas or open lesions. Furthermore, its use is not recommended in patients with hemoglobin disorders, such as methemoglobinemia.
Precautions
Special care should be taken when administering Emla Cream to patients with a history of adverse reactions to local anesthetics. It is also recommended to avoid application to large skin areas and not to exceed the recommended dose. In case of use in children, the doctor's instructions must be strictly followed to avoid risks associated with local anesthesia.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.

- FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
