Indications
Dolxen 500 mg is indicated for the treatment of acute and chronic pain of various etiologies, including but not limited to: headache, muscle pain, dental pain, dysmenorrhea, and pain associated with traumatic injuries. Additionally, it is used in the management of inflammatory processes such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. Its anti-inflammatory and analgesic action helps provide relief in conditions involving moderate to severe pain, as well as in chronic inflammatory conditions.
Composition
Each Dolxen tablet contains: Naproxen 500 mg as the active ingredient. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch, magnesium stearate and others.
Contraindications
Dolxen is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to naproxen or any component of the formula. It should not be administered to patients with active peptic ulcer, severe renal insufficiency, or a history of severe cardiovascular disease. It is also contraindicated during the third trimester of pregnancy.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal problems, high blood pressure, heart failure, or kidney failure. It is advisable to monitor renal function in patients receiving prolonged treatment with naproxen. Avoid concomitant use of other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and alcohol, as this may increase the risk of gastrointestinal adverse effects.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
