Indications
Dolocartigen is indicated for the treatment of pain and inflammation associated with various rheumatic conditions, such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. The combination of diacerein, a cartilage-acting agent, and meloxicam, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), provides a dual approach to managing joint pain and inflammation. This drug is useful in patients requiring relief from chronic pain and in those seeking to improve their mobility and quality of life in the context of degenerative joint diseases.
Composition
Each Dolocartigen capsule contains:
- Diacerein: 50 mg
- Meloxicam: 15 mg
Contraindications
Dolocartigen is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the components of the formula or other NSAIDs. It should not be administered in cases of active peptic ulcer, severe renal insufficiency, severe hepatic insufficiency, and in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to anti-inflammatory drugs.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, as well as in those with a history of cardiovascular diseases. It is important to consider the use of Dolocartigen in elderly patients or in those receiving other medications that may interact with the components of this drug. Renal and hepatic function should be monitored during treatment.
