Indications
Dinexa (Ranolazine) is indicated as adjunctive treatment for the management of chronic stable angina pectoris in adult patients. It acts as a metabolic modulator that helps improve exercise tolerance and reduce the frequency of anginal episodes. This medication is used in patients who have not achieved adequate symptom control with other antianginal medications, such as beta-blockers or calcium channel blockers. Its use is particularly relevant in patients who have intolerance to conventional treatments or who have comorbidities that limit the choice of appropriate antianginal therapy.
Composition
Each Dinexa tablet contains 500 mg of ranolazine as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients such as starch, microcrystalline cellulose, and other components that facilitate the product's formulation.
Contraindications
Dinexa is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ranolazine or any of the product's excipients. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe hepatic impairment and in those who are being treated with certain potent CYP3A4 inhibitors.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of kidney disease, heart failure, or those taking other medications that may interact with ranolazine. Renal function monitoring is recommended in patients on long-term treatment. In case of symptoms of liver or kidney dysfunction, discontinuation of treatment should be considered.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C, out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
