Indications

Dinexa (Ranolazine) is indicated for the treatment of chronic stable angina in adult patients, as an add-on therapy to other antianginal medications. Ranolazine works by reducing the frequency of angina episodes and improving exercise capacity in these patients. It can also be used in patients who have not responded adequately to conventional treatments.

Ranolazine acts through a mechanism that involves the inhibition of sodium currents in the myocardium, resulting in a decrease in the heart's oxygen demand without significantly affecting heart rate or blood pressure.

Composition

Each Dinexa tablet contains 500 mg of ranolazine, as well as excipients necessary for the product's formulation.

Contraindications

Dinexa is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ranolazine or to any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe hepatic impairment, and in those receiving treatment with potent CYP3A4 inhibitors.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering Dinexa to patients with renal insufficiency, a history of QT interval prolongation, or in those taking other medications that may affect ranolazine metabolism. Regular monitoring is recommended in these patients.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
