Indications

Dinamela is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. It is used as part of a treatment regimen that includes diet and exercise, to improve glycemic control in patients with this condition. It can also be administered in combination with other oral antidiabetics or insulin in patients who do not achieve adequate glycemic control with metformin alone. Its use can help reduce the risk of diabetes-related complications, contributing to the regulation of blood glucose levels.

Composition

Each Dinamela tablet contains 500 mg of metformin as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that facilitate the formulation and stability of the medication.

Contraindications

Dinamela is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to metformin or any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in patients with severe renal insufficiency, acute or chronic diseases that may alter renal function, as well as in those with a history of diabetic ketoacidosis. Its use is also contraindicated in situations of severe dehydration, severe infections, or in the context of treatment with iodinated contrasts.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with moderate renal insufficiency, liver disease, or those who consume excessive alcohol. It is essential to monitor renal function periodically during metformin treatment. The possibility of suspending treatment should be evaluated in case of symptoms such as extreme weakness, dizziness, or confusion, which could indicate possible renal failure or lactic acidosis.
