Indications
Dimegan D Syrup is indicated for the treatment of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, itching of the nose and eyes, as well as nasal congestion. It is also used in the treatment of allergic sinusitis and in the management of common cold symptoms that include congestion and rhinorrhea. The combination of loratadine, an antihistamine, and phenylephrine, a decongestant, effectively relieves allergy and cold symptoms.
Composition
Each 5 ml of syrup contains:
- Loratadine: 10 mg
- Phenylephrine: 40 mg
Contraindications
Dimegan D is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered in cases of uncontrolled hypertension, severe heart disease, or in patients who are being treated with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).
Precautions
Dimegan D should be used with caution in patients with heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, glaucoma, or prostate problems. In case of any adverse effects, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor should be consulted. Since it can cause drowsiness, caution should be exercised when driving or performing activities that require attention.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
