Indications
Dimegan is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with allergic conditions such as seasonal and perennial allergic rhinoconjunctivitis. It is also used in the treatment of urticaria and other allergic manifestations. Loratadine, its active ingredient, works by blocking histamine H1 receptors, which helps reduce symptoms such as sneezing, nasal itching, runny nose, and itchy eyes.
Composition
Each Dimegan capsule contains 10 mg of loratadine as an active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients that facilitate its absorption and stability.
Contraindications
Dimegan is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to loratadine or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe liver failure, or in children under 2 years of age.
Precautions
Special caution should be exercised in patients with liver disease, and dose adjustment is suggested in these cases. Furthermore, concomitant use of alcohol and other central nervous system depressants is recommended to be avoided, as it could enhance their sedative effects. The safety of Dimegan during pregnancy and lactation has not been established, so a doctor should be consulted before use in these conditions.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Keep in a dry place away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
