Indications
Delaphil, whose active ingredient is Tadalafil, is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in men. Erectile dysfunction is the persistent inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual intercourse. This medication works by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, which facilitates an erection. Its use can improve the quality of life and sexual satisfaction of patients suffering from this condition. It is important to note that Delaphil does not cause an erection on its own; sexual stimulation is required for the medication to exert its effect. Additionally, Tadalafil can be used in the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension, improving exercise capacity in patients with this condition.
Composition
Each Delaphil tablet contains 20 mg of Tadalafil as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption.
Contraindications
Delaphil is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Tadalafil or any of the excipients. It is also contraindicated in those using nitrates, as the combination of these medications can cause a dangerous decrease in blood pressure. It should not be administered to patients with severe cardiovascular diseases or who have recently suffered a myocardial infarction.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases, as sexual activity may pose an additional risk. Furthermore, it is recommended to evaluate liver and kidney function before starting treatment. It is important to inform the doctor about any other medications the patient is taking to avoid interactions.
