Indications

Debromu is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of gastrointestinal disorders involving spasms, such as colitis, functional dyspepsia, irritable bowel syndrome, and other conditions related to intestinal hypermotility. It is also used to relieve abdominal pain and discomfort associated with conditions that generate spasms in the gastrointestinal tract. Otilonium bromide acts as an antispasmodic, reducing the contraction of smooth muscle in the intestine, which helps improve intestinal motility and decrease the sensation of discomfort.

Composition

Each Debromu tablet contains 40 mg of otilonium bromide, as well as excipients necessary for its formulation.

Contraindications

Debromu is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to otilonium bromide or any of the formulation components. Its use is not recommended in patients with closed-angle glaucoma, myasthenia gravis, and those with intestinal obstruction or active ulcerative colitis.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, or renal insufficiency. It is important to monitor intestinal function, as prolonged use of antispasmodics can lead to gastrointestinal complications. It is recommended to consult a doctor before starting treatment if other medications are being taken or if there is any pre-existing medical condition.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
