Indications

Debonal 7.5% is indicated for the treatment of metabolic acidosis, as well as for the correction of electrolyte disturbances that require the administration of sodium bicarbonate. It is commonly used in clinical conditions involving the acidification of the internal environment, such as kidney failure, bicarbonate loss syndromes, and metabolic conditions that generate acidosis. In addition, it can be useful in cardiopulmonary resuscitation situations where blood pH correction is needed. It is important to monitor electrolyte levels and the patient's acid-base status during the administration of this medication.

Composition

Each ampoule of Debonal 7.5% contains:

• Sodium bicarbonate: 7.5 g
• Excipients: q.s.

Contraindications

Its use is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to sodium bicarbonate, in those with metabolic or respiratory alkalosis, and in cases of acute or chronic respiratory failure. It should be avoided in patients with conditions that generate hypernatremia or fluid retention, as well as in those with advanced kidney disease without adequate medical supervision.

Precautions

It is recommended to use this medication with caution in patients with heart disease, hypertension, or those at risk of fluid overload. Intravenous administration should be performed by trained medical personnel, and continuous monitoring of the patient's clinical status, as well as relevant biochemical parameters, is necessary.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct light and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
