Indications

Danzen 5 mg is indicated for the treatment of acute and chronic inflammatory processes, as well as for the reduction of pain associated with inflammatory conditions. This medication is used in cases of sinusitis, otitis, arthritis, and other conditions where management of inflammation and pain is required. Serratiopeptidase, its active ingredient, acts as a proteolytic enzyme that helps break down proteins at the site of inflammation, thus facilitating its resolution and promoting rapid recovery. It has also been used in the treatment of post-surgical edema and in the management of respiratory diseases such as bronchitis, relieving congestion and promoting expectoration.

Composition

Each Danzen tablet contains 5 mg of serratiopeptidase as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that allow for the proper formulation of the medication.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to serratiopeptidase or to any of the components of the formulation. Furthermore, its use is not recommended in patients with bleeding disorders, as it may increase the risk of hemorrhage. Caution should also be exercised in individuals with gastrointestinal diseases, especially those associated with ulcers or bleeding.

Precautions

Care should be taken when using Danzen in patients with a history of allergies, as well as in those who are being treated with anticoagulants or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Patients who experience unusual symptoms during treatment should be monitored. The safety and efficacy in children, pregnant or breastfeeding women have not been established, so its use in these groups should be evaluated with a doctor.
