Indications

Cynomel is indicated for the treatment of various conditions related to thyroid function. It is primarily used in cases of hypothyroidism, where the thyroid gland does not produce enough hormones. It can also be used in the treatment of certain forms of goiter and as hormone replacement therapy in situations where the thyroid has been surgically removed or when its function is compromised. Additionally, it can be used in the diagnosis of thyroid disorders, as part of thyroid stimulation tests.

Composition

Each Cynomel tablet contains 25 mcg of liothyronine sodium, as well as excipients that allow for its formulation and stability.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in those suffering from uncontrolled cardiovascular diseases, recent myocardial infarction, or in situations of hyperactive thyroid. Likewise, its use should be evaluated in patients with untreated adrenal insufficiency.

Precautions

It is essential that Cynomel be used under medical supervision. Patients with heart disease, diabetes, or blood clotting problems should inform their doctor before starting treatment. Regular monitoring of hormone levels and dose adjustment according to the individual needs of the patient are recommended.

Storage

Store in a dry, cool place, at room temperature, protected from light and out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
