Indications
Cordialibrel (Fenofibrate) is indicated in the treatment of dyslipidemias, specifically for the reduction of elevated total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglyceride levels, as well as to increase HDL cholesterol levels in patients with primary or mixed hypercholesterolemia. Additionally, it is used in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases in patients at high risk due to an abnormal lipid profile. It is important that treatment with Fenofibrate be complemented with an adequate hypolipidemic diet and other non-pharmacological measures.
Composition
Each Cordialibrel capsule contains 160 mg of fenofibrate as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that allow for the proper formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
Cordialibrel is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to fenofibrate or to any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in cases of active liver disease, severe renal insufficiency, and in patients with a history of biliary disease.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Cordialibrel in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease or in those who are being treated with other medications that may affect liver or kidney function. Adequate monitoring of liver and kidney function is recommended during treatment. Likewise, the possibility of interactions with other drugs should be considered, especially with anticoagulants and other hypolipidemic agents.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children and protect from light. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
