Indications

Combigan-D is indicated for the treatment of ocular hypertension in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. This medication combines two agents: brimonidine, an alpha-2 adrenergic agonist, and timolol, a beta-blocker. The combination of these two active ingredients allows for effective reduction of intraocular pressure, thereby improving disease control and helping to prevent damage to the optic nerve. It is important that the use of this medication be under medical supervision to ensure the suitability of the treatment according to the patient's characteristics.

Composition

Each ml of Combigan-D contains 2 mg of brimonidine and 5 mg of timolol. Excipients: sodium chloride, dibasic sodium phosphate, purified water, and suitable preservatives to maintain the stability of the solution.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, as well as in those suffering from bronchial asthma or severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bradycardia, second or third-degree heart block, and in those with uncontrolled heart failure.

Precautions

Precautions should be taken in patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases, lung diseases, diabetes mellitus, and in those who are being treated with other medications that may affect intraocular pressure. Regular monitoring of eye pressure during treatment is crucial.

Storage

Store at room temperature, protected from light and out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
