Indications
Colpunov is indicated for the treatment of disorders associated with estrogen deficiency in women at various stages of life, including menopause. It is used in the management of symptoms such as vaginal atrophy, which can manifest as dryness, irritation, or discomfort during sexual intercourse. Additionally, it can be useful in preventing certain gynecological conditions related to the lack of female hormones. This medication can be considered in hormone replacement therapy and in the management of menstrual irregularities, under the supervision of a doctor.
Composition
Each Colpunov ovule contains 10 mg of Promestriene as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients necessary for the formulation of the ovule.
Contraindications
Colpunov is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to the components of the formula. It should not be used in cases of vaginal bleeding of unknown origin, thromboembolic diseases, breast or endometrial cancer, as well as in patients with severe liver diseases. This medication is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women without medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution is recommended when administering Colpunov to patients with a history of thromboembolic disorders, uncontrolled hypertension, or heart disease. Regular medical follow-up is important to evaluate the response to treatment and adjust the dose if necessary. Additionally, the risk of adverse effects in patients with a history of hormone-dependent cancer should be considered.
Storage
Store Colpunov in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, protected from light and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
