Indications
Chloropyramine is a first-generation antihistamine used for the treatment of various allergic conditions. It is indicated for the management of allergic rhinitis, which presents with symptoms such as sneezing, nasal and ocular itching, and nasal congestion. It is also used in the treatment of urticaria and other allergic skin reactions, as well as in the management of anaphylactic reactions as part of emergency treatment. Its sedative effect can be beneficial in patients with insomnia related to allergic disorders. Additionally, it is useful for relieving the symptoms of serum sickness and blood transfusion reactions. Chloropyramine can be used in children and adults, under the supervision of a physician.
Composition
Each tablet contains: Chloropyramine 25 mg. Excipients: Lactose, starch, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to chloropyramine or any component of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with closed-angle glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy, and in those who are being treated with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). It should also be avoided in pregnant or breastfeeding women, unless medically indicated.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering this medication to patients with chronic respiratory diseases, such as asthma, or in those with cardiovascular disorders. It can cause drowsiness, so operating heavy machinery or driving vehicles should be avoided. It is advisable to adjust the dose in the elderly and in patients with hepatic or renal insufficiency.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
