Indications
Clonazepam solution is indicated for the treatment of convulsive disorders, including epilepsy and panic attacks. It can be used as short-term therapy for the treatment of severe anxiety. It is also recommended for the management of withdrawal symptoms in patients with benzodiazepine dependence, as well as for the treatment of anxiety-related sleep disorders. Its use should be evaluated and supervised by a doctor, considering the patient's medical history and their response to treatment.
Composition
Each ml of solution contains 2.5 mg of Clonazepam. Excipients: purified water, sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid, and sodium bicarbonate.
Contraindications
Clonazepam is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to clonazepam or any other component of the formula. It should not be administered to individuals with a history of drug or alcohol dependence, as well as those with severe respiratory diseases, myasthenia gravis, or sleep apnea.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with hepatic or renal insufficiency, as well as in elderly individuals, as they may be more susceptible to the sedative effects of the medication. It is important to avoid combination with other drugs that may potentiate the central nervous system depressant effect. Abrupt discontinuation of treatment can lead to withdrawal symptoms.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep in a dry place and away from light. Keep out of reach of children.
