Indications
Ciprolisina Solution is indicated for the treatment of various clinical conditions that require the combined action of cyproheptadine, an antihistamine with antiserotonergic properties, and cyanocobalamin, which is essential for DNA synthesis and red blood cell formation. This medication is primarily used in the management of disorders related to nutritional deficiencies and in conditions requiring increased appetite, as well as in anemic states where the administration of cyanocobalamin is justified. It is important that the administration of Ciprolisina Solution be carried out under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
Composition
Each 1 ml of Ciprolisina Solution contains: Cyproheptadine 40 mg and Cyanocobalamin 300 mcg.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, as well as in those with a history of urinary retention, closed-angle glaucoma, and severe liver diseases. Its use is not recommended in patients with conditions that may be aggravated by the anticholinergic activity of cyproheptadine.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with asthma, high blood pressure, and those who are undergoing treatment with other medications that may interact with antihistamines. It is important to monitor patients for possible adverse effects related to sedation and drowsiness, especially in vulnerable populations such as the elderly and children.
