Indications
Ciproflox DM is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections. This medication is effective in the treatment of respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, urinary tract infections, as well as gastrointestinal infections caused by susceptible bacteria. It is also used in the management of nosocomial infections and is recommended in cases of typhoid fever and other systemic infections.
Composition
Each Ciproflox DM tablet contains 500 mg of ciprofloxacin as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients that facilitate its formulation and administration.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin or any other component of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of tendinitis or tendon rupture associated with fluoroquinolone use. It should also be avoided in pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of seizures, central nervous system disorders, kidney failure, or those who are undergoing treatment with medications that may cause QT interval prolongation. It is important to monitor for adverse reactions during treatment and avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
