Indications
Ciproflox DM is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by susceptible microorganisms. Treated infections include: urinary tract infections, respiratory infections, gastrointestinal infections, skin and soft tissue infections, as well as bone and joint infections. This medication works by inhibiting DNA synthesis in bacteria, which results in their death, being effective against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
Composition
Each Ciproflox DM tablet contains 1 g of ciprofloxacin as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients such as starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, and other compounds that facilitate its formulation.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin or other fluoroquinolone antibiotics. It should not be administered to patients with epilepsy, previous tendinopathies, or pregnant or breastfeeding women, unless deemed strictly necessary by the physician.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of central nervous system diseases, kidney failure, or those taking other medications that may cause adverse reactions. It is important to monitor for the appearance of side effects, such as allergic reactions, skin problems, or gastrointestinal reactions.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
