Indications

Ciprobac is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections. It is used in the management of urinary tract infections, respiratory infections, gastrointestinal infections, skin and soft tissue infections, as well as bone and joint infections. It is also used in certain forms of bacterial diarrhea and in patients with febrile neutropenia in combination with other antibiotics. Ciprofloxacin acts by inhibiting bacterial DNA synthesis, resulting in the death of bacterial cells. It is important that the use of this medication be prescribed by a healthcare professional, who will determine the appropriate duration and dosage according to the patient's condition.

Composition

Each tablet contains 500 mg of ciprofloxacin as an active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients such as corn starch, talc, and other inactive components that facilitate the formulation of the medication.

Contraindications

Ciprobac is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin, other fluoroquinolone antibiotics, or any component of the formulation. It should also be avoided in patients with a history of tendinitis or tendon rupture associated with fluoroquinolone use. Its use during pregnancy and lactation should be carefully evaluated by a doctor.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of epilepsy, neurological disorders, or kidney problems. Ciprofloxacin may increase the risk of tendinitis and tendon rupture, especially in patients over 60 years of age or those receiving corticosteroids. Excessive exposure to sunlight or tanning lamps should be avoided during treatment.

The product should be stored at room temperature, in a dry place, away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
