Indications
Celunaf Drops is indicated for the temporary relief of nasal congestion associated with colds, allergic rhinitis, and sinusitis. Its decongestant action is due to the vasoconstriction of blood vessels in the nasal mucosa, resulting in a decrease in edema and hyperemia. This medication is useful for facilitating breathing in situations where nasal congestion can be a significant problem, such as in cases of seasonal allergies or viral infection. Additionally, it can be used in some diagnostic procedures that require a reduction in nasal congestion.
Composition
Each ml of Celunaf Drops contains 0.5 mg of naphazoline as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that ensure the stability and efficacy of the product.
Contraindications
Celunaf Drops should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to naphazoline or any of the excipients of the product. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe arterial hypertension, severe heart disease, or in those who have received treatment with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) in the last two weeks.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using this medication in patients with cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus, hyperthyroidism, or those suffering from narrow-angle glaucoma. Prolonged use of naphazoline can lead to a rebound effect, causing chronic nasal congestion. Therefore, it is recommended not to exceed the dose or duration of treatment indicated by the doctor.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30°C. Keep out of reach of children and protect from light. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
