Indications

Cefalver (Cephalexin) is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to cephalexin. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Upper and lower respiratory tract infections, such as pharyngitis and bronchitis.
  • Skin and soft tissue infections, including abscesses and cellulitis.
  • Urinary tract infections, such as cystitis and pyelonephritis.
  • Bone and joint infections, such as osteomyelitis.

Cephalexin acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, resulting in the death of susceptible bacteria.

Composition

Each capsule contains:

  • Cephalexin (as cephalexin monohydrate) 500 mg.
  • Excipients: talc, starch, gelatin, among others.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cephalexin, cephalosporins, or any of the excipients in the formulation. Caution should also be exercised in patients with a history of allergies to beta-lactam antibiotics.

Precautions

The use of Cefalver is recommended with caution in patients with renal insufficiency, as dose adjustments may be required. Interactions with other medications the patient is taking should also be considered. During treatment, the appearance of allergic reactions or adverse effects should be monitored.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
  4. Orders received after 2:00 PM will be shipped the next day.
