Indications

Caurodol (Bisoprolol) is indicated for the treatment of essential arterial hypertension. This medication helps reduce high blood pressure, which can decrease the risk of cardiovascular complications. Additionally, it is indicated for the treatment of stable chronic heart failure, in combination with other therapeutic agents. Bisoprolol acts by blocking beta-adrenergic receptors, resulting in a decrease in heart rate and the heart's contractile force, thus helping to improve heart function and control blood pressure.

Composition

Each Caurodol tablet contains 5 mg of bisoprolol as an active ingredient. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, starch, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

Caurodol is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to bisoprolol or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe bradycardia, second or third-degree atrioventricular block, cardiogenic shock, and in those with decompensated heart failure. It should also be avoided in patients with bronchial asthma or severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering Caurodol to patients with a history of asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes mellitus, or peripheral arterial disease. Blood pressure and heart rate should be monitored during treatment, and renal function should be assessed. Abrupt withdrawal of the medication can cause worsening of angina or even myocardial infarction in patients with coronary artery disease.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
